The Bush Legacy

Quite some time ago I blogged that G. W. Bush would be known as one of the worst U.S. Presidents ever; if not the worst. Then I did not have the economic meltdown to include as one of those things that would be listed as one of his mistakes. He has been bragging about the housing situation for some time; that more people lived in their own homes than ever before. Little did most people realize the houses were like houses built of cards ready to fall around their heads.
Then too there is 2.6 million people without jobs in the year 2008. Unemployment officially listed as being 7.2%. Bush had 8 years to make things right, yet he took 8 years to make things about as worse as could be--we have yet to see the full impact and consequences.
All we need now is for the price of oil to go back up to over $100 a barrel. That would be like nailing the last coffin nail.
The media has yet to figure it all out about the Bush administration. I watched part of Wolf Blitzer's interview with VP Cheney. Cheney was still advocating water boarding--somewhere I saw a video clip that stated we executed the Japanese after WWII for water boarding our troops.
Too Cheney was still legitimizing our war with Iraq based on Saddam's "rewarding" families of suicide bombers with a grant of $25,000. Didn't the Saudis start the donation program and contributed to most of the families? Wolf didn't do a very good job of weaseling out the truth from Cheney; instead allowed a propaganda spiel.
