The Need for Guns?

The Liberal Press recently has been demonizing the gun advocates and industry in the wake of recent shootings in an attempt to further their anti-gun agenda.  I am a gun advocate for a number of reasons--personal protection, sport, hunting, and tradition:  I might add in there politics, as laid out by the American Declaration of Independence.
When a government is taken over by non-democratic forces and ignore democratic procedures and laws then the people have the right to resist these forces.  There have been recent cases to illustrate tyrannical take over; such as the fascist movements of the 1930's in Europe, resulting in millions of deaths and total devastation of countries.  Would guns have made a difference in a case such as this?  A well informed armed populace might have.  History often repeats itself as the methods are well studied by would-be tyrants.  Tyranny comes in multiple guises; propaganda, fear, greed, power are often combined to make a bitter stew overwhelming and controlling a populace.  The possibility is pooh-poohed by the gun-control advocates for good reason as this argument sheds the true light for the American Second Amendment, which gives the populace the right to form local militias and the right to own and carry personal guns.  The second amendment contains two clauses, not one.  The Constitution is an instrument laying out the rights of the people and limits the powers of the government.  A statement allowing a state run and regulated militia to be written in the Constitution does not make any sense.   All the articles found in the Constitution lay out the rights for the People, not the government.  All laws made by governing bodies are limited by the Constitution.  As to the type of weapons that are allowed those type of weapons carried by our forefathers during the Revolutionary War are good examples.  During that time the Brits carried smoothbore flintlock guns, as did most of the Rebels--But, the Rebels also had rifled guns, which were used to good effect, their range being over 200 yards; compared to 50 yard range of the smoothbore.  In affect, the Rebels outgunned the British regular forces. This difference makes for a good argument for having AR-15's, at least the civilians then are on even par with the government should it develop that it becomes tyrannical.  But will it?  Good question.  Who knows?  Fascism could be construed as government being controlled and in league with Corporations.  Has anyone noticed that much of our government is now controlled by Corporations and their lobbyists.  What evidence is there for this statement?  Can you find a congressman fighting hard for people's wages to go up to a level that matches wages that were held ten years ago?  What if they fought as hard for the people as they do to protect the Rich's taxes?  The real crime is that the congress is so open with their affiliations.  They don't deny their bias at all.  What's good for the rich is good for the people.  I'm getting away from guns--but the last statements illustrate how power shifts and how little can be done about it when a populace ignores the signs.
